TierrAmar protects precious water resources and the forest ecosystem within the Sabaleta Sanctuary by acquiring forested land, strengthening local environmental education and generating sustainable income sources for locals to prevent artisanal mining and deforestation, unsustainable fishing and tourism practices, illegal hunting and fauna trafficking.

The Colombian Ecosystems Awareness Project (CEAP) was implemented by TierrAmar at the town's school for its future generations. Additionally, 19 locals have been employed in forest monitoring and basecamp restoration within the sanctuary. Help us conserve 21 more hectares of vulnerable forest land, its fauna and precious water resources for just USD 2,000 per hectare! Contact us to receive more information.
